Drone-based surveying and inspection are among the most efficient methods of modern data acquisition.

They enable precise measurements, detailed documentation and a quick overview of difficult-to-access or extensive areas – whether in construction planning, infrastructure, energy supply or industry.

 

To meet the diverse requirements of our clients, we work with a wide range of specialized drone systems.

Whether high-resolution orthophotos, 3D models, volume calculations or technical inspections of systems – we supply the appropriate sensors and have the necessary technical know-how for reliable results.

 

Safe and approved:

HeliFoto.ch holds a SORA operating permit from the FOCA (Federal Office of Civil Aviation) for flights with large drones in urban and complex airspace. This authorizes us to carry out even demanding surveying and inspection assignments legally, safely, and efficiently.

Inspection with drones

External factors such as erosion, weathering, and aging subject facades and building structures to significant stress and damage over time. Inspections currently often require industrial climbers, scaffolding, or other time-consuming, costly, and risky methods.

Using our UAV systems (drones), we comprehensively, precisely, and safely record damage and structural changes both indoors and outdoors. The data collected provides a reliable basis for thorough condition analyses and targeted renovation measures for all types of buildings.

Detailed 3D visualizations of the identified anomalies and digital twins enable efficient planning, transparent communication, and sustainable implementation of remediation work.

Drone surveying photogrammetry

precise - cost-effective - simple flight planning

When using drones for photogrammetry and surveying, we capture high-resolution image data of surfaces with very high detail using specialized sensors. This allows us to precisely capture and analyze geometries, structures, and surfaces.

 

A large number of vertically captured individual images are then processed using digital photogrammetric analysis to create a coherent, rectified aerial image (orthophoto). Furthermore, precise elevation models and 3D models can be derived from the image data.

 

The accuracy achieved is in the centimeter range and can – depending on project requirements and framework conditions – be significantly lower.

Measuring equipment and special missions

When using drones to transport measuring equipment, we enable the safe and efficient transport of materials and sensor components to difficult-to-access or large-scale operating areas. With the help of specially designed carrying and fastening systems, measuring instruments, sensors, and accessories can be transported to the point of use precisely and in a controlled manner.

Transport is carried out in compliance with defined weight, stability, and safety requirements. Flight routes and procedures are planned in advance to ensure precise delivery or drop-off of the measuring equipment. This reduces manual effort, increases workplace safety, and shortens deployment times.

The drone systems used are designed for high reliability and repeatability and enable – depending on framework conditions and project requirements – precise, controlled and documented transport of measuring equipment even under demanding conditions.

Thermal imaging

sustainable - agile - immersive

When using drones for thermal imaging, we capture high-resolution temperature data of surfaces and objects using specialized thermographic sensors. This data allows for the precise detection and analysis of temperature distributions, heat losses, thermal anomalies, and structural abnormalities.

 

A large number of individual images taken vertically or obliquely are then processed digitally to create coherent thermal maps or thermal orthophotos. Furthermore, temperature-based analyses, comparative representations, and 3D models with thermal information can be derived from the image data.

 

The achieved temperature resolution and measurement accuracy depend on the sensors, flight parameters and environmental conditions, and enables – depending on the project requirements – detailed and reproducible evaluations in the practically relevant area.
